7 Benefits of Hiring a Coach

  1. Empowering Having a coach who believes in you, is just as excited as you are to be in the conversation, who loves to see you to learn, grow and work towards your goals and achieve them is extremely empowering.

  2. Supportive A good coach not only celebrates your achievements, they also help you work through any struggles, setbacks and blocks you might have - and celebrate the fact that you’ve brought those things to the surface. It’s not always about moving forward, sometimes it’s about getting a deeper understanding about something, acknowledging it and then moving through it.

  3. Motivating It’s highly motivating to spend a session with your coach that’s all about you! I always leave a coaching session feeling excited and motivated to work on the action steps we discussed and it’s especially great to leave a session having gained a deeper understanding of myself when I have had some good, open conversations with my coach.

  4. Safe Space Building a good working relationship with my coach then enables me to feel safe enough to talk about my weaknesses or what might be holding me back. This is a huge part of being able to grow and move forward.

  5. Enlightening The “aha’ moments. When you join the dots and things suddenly make SENSE! It’s deeply satisfying to stumble across those moments and you can literally feel your awareness and understanding deepening. You never know when they will happen and it’s often in the places you least expect.

  6. Clarity This is one of the biggest reasons I work with a coach, because I want to gain clarity in something happening in my life that I’m just not figuring out on my own. It can help to talk to someone who isn’t biased and who reflects back to you really good questions to help you figure things out.

  7. Calling you out on your bullshit Maybe this is controversial, but I think sometimes what we really need is for it to be pointed out how we are contributing to our own setbacks and problems, in a loving and gentle way. We can convince ourselves of things that aren’t neccessarily true or helpful and cannot see it even if it’s staring us in the face. A good coach can reflect these things back to us, in a way that is caring, judgement free and kind.

I love having a coach and if you’re considering hiring a coach I hope this gives you a bit of insight as to how a coach can help you and why it can be an amazing experience to have one!
